The Charlotte Hornets player of the National Basketball Association (NBA) team Dāvis Bertāns attended the Latvian Basketball League (LBL) game between VEF Rīga and Liepāja this evening.

It has already been announced that the current Latvian champions “VEF Rīga” defeated “Liepāja” 77:56 in the first match of the LBL semi-final series. Dairis Bertāns, who scored 11 points, joined the Riga team after a break of more than a month. His younger brother Dāvis watched his return from the stands, and after the match they both greeted each other.

Dāvis Bertāns ended his NBA season less than two weeks ago. The 31-year-old basketball player started this season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, but played very little there before being traded to the Charlotte Hornets in February. Bertans was a solid rotation player in Charlotte, averaging 8.8 points in 28 games for the Hornets. He has a player option for next season for $5.25 million, meaning he can stay with the team or become a free agent.
