Tonight, in the Finnish city of Espoo, the Canadian U18 hockey team is in the final of the world championship with 6:4 defeated Team USA.

Although the Canadians were leading 1:3 in the middle of the match, in the continuation of the game they scored five pucks in a row, while the Americans only managed to reduce the deficit to -2.

Gavin McKenna stood out among the winners with a hat-trick and one assist, Tij Iginla (1+2) and Henry Muse (0+3) scored three points each. Cole Hutson has a goal and two assists for the USA.

This is the fourth trophy for the Canadians at the U18 world championships, previously Canada became the champion in this age group in 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2021).

It was previously reported that Canada beat Latvia 4-0 in the WC quarter-finals.
