Latvian forward Rodrigo Ābols scored an assist tonight in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) in the third match of the final series, in which “Skelleftea” represented by Mārtiņas Dzierkals celebrated their success and regained the home field advantage. In the match held in Engelholm, “Skelleftea” won with the result 3:2 and reached 2-1 in the series up to four successes.

Five minutes before the end of regular time, when Abol won the puck at the edge of the field, “Rogle” ended the attack with an accurate shot – 2:2. A couple of minutes later, “Skelleftea” returned to the lead.

Abolas was on the ice for 16 minutes and 37 seconds in this fight, scored once, used one power play, won 12 of 22 shots and had a negative efficiency coefficient of -1. Dzierkal had five seconds more playing time and a neutral efficiency ratio, with the striker not scoring in other statistical columns.

The first two matches of the final series ended with the result 1:0, with both teams dividing the victories in half.

“Rogle” overcame the semi-final series by defeating last year's champion Vekshes “Lakers” in all four games, but Schellefteo's team was superior to Gothenburg's “Frolunda” 4-3.
